The Contrast Collective was created to give photographers a place to collaborate, create, build portfolios, and find true community. After moving and restarting my business in a place where I knew no one, I realized how easy it is for photography to feel like competition instead of connection. I wanted to change that. So I built a space where photographers support each other, share openly, and build friendships instead of rivalries.
Join us in the New Mexico desert for a multi-day photography retreat designed to spark creativity, build community, and expand your portfolio in unforgettable ways. You’ll stay in a stunning Airbnb with other creatives, enjoy 3 fully styled elopements and 2 portrait sessions, and shoot in some of the most iconic scenery the Southwest has to offer, from western mountain backdrops to dreamy White Sands sunsets.
This retreat isn’t just about getting beautiful photos (though you’ll leave with plenty). It’s about learning from each other, sharing what’s working in your business, talking openly about what’s not, and building real connections with photographers who genuinely want to grow together. Expect multiple styled shoots, a seamless paper setup for headshots and practice, group conversations, good food, and a space that encourages collaboration and community over competition.
Whether you’re here to refresh your portfolio, reignite your creativity, or connect with likeminded photographers, you’ll walk away with new friendships, real knowledge, and a gallery full of magic captured in the Land of Enchantment.
